Theater = LOVE

Welcome to my new blog!  This is where I’m going to share my love for theater, and the adventures of majoring in it!  My entire life theater has been my passion, I was quite the drama queen at a young age.

cinderella

See?  Cinderella…I was convinced I was her.  Dress ups weren’t just putting on pretty dresses, it was becoming someone else for the day.  I didn’t let anyone else forget it either Smile

So a little background on who my family is, it’ll explain a lot.  My father Daniel Hess is the most amazing actor I know.  He received his masters in Theater and Cinema Arts from Brigham Young University.  He’s been in amazing productions, church movies, and on LDS radio voicing various prophets.  Talk about my romodel.  And then there is my amazing mother who is a professional singer.  When she was in high school and college at USU she was the lead singer in a Glenn Miller band, featured soloist at various events, and majored in vocal performance.  My grandmother Barbara Hess was an amazing actress, my aunt Rebecca also received her masters in theater, and my grandfather David Williams was an opera singer.  So there is just a FEW of my family members that has helped me become the person I am today!

So here I am after changing my major 4 times I finally got some sense and truly came to learn that this passion that I live for isn’t just a hobby.  It’s a combination that my Father in Heaven has given me to bless and inspire the lives of others.  So I am now a Theater Education Major!!!  I’m so excited.

Now there is going to be a section I’ll always include in my blog.  I will include a video of some of my romodels, and favorite songs that just move my heart!  so I thought today would be appropriate to share a clip of what what made my life of performing begin.  My first major role was when I was 10 years old.  I was Annie in Annie and I learned that my life would never be without performing from that day on.
